SPE is the second largest player on the Belgian energy market both as electricity producer and energy supplier. With an installed generation capacity of 2 133 MW the company accounts for 13 % of the national electricity generation. SPE is a historically green energy producer with gas-fired power plants wind farms and hydraulic power stations on various sites in Wallonia and Flanders. The company also owns parts of nuclear plants.
